Sometimes it helps to have a handy checklist of developmental milestones nearby. The Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists at Leap Therapy Group have produced some posters for parents to refer to for their child's development.
Development is always described as a range, so if your child is still learning one or two of these there may not be cause for great concern.
If your child is 4-5 years old and is not able to carry out any of the skills on the list, it is a good idea to give a Speech Pathologist or Occupational Therapist a call. At Leap we are very happy to have a chat with parents and caregivers and help support the decision of whether Therapy should be sought for your child.
